The Ascension Program

The Ascension Program is the foundation of Queens In Training. It is a structured movement pathway designed to support women at every stage of their dance journey — from first-time heels students to seasoned performers seeking depth, intention, and alignment.

Ascension is not about rushing toward the next level. It honors growth as a process, recognizing that dancers evolve through seasons of grounding, expansion, embodiment, and leadership.

This program exists to create clarity, consistency, and care — allowing dancers to grow with confidence, purpose, and self-trust.

THE CORE PHILOSOPHY:

Ascension is the process of rising while remaining rooted.

Within Queens In Training, ascension does not mean superiority or hierarchy. It means growth through intention — learning to move with awareness, discipline, and connection to self.

Faith is our foundation: not as pressure, but as grounding. We believe creativity flows from God, and movement becomes most powerful when it is led with integrity, humility, and care.

Each tier of the Ascension Program exists to meet dancers where they are — not to compare, rush, or compete.

The Path of Ascension

Rooted: Foundation

  • dancers new to heels

  • dancers returning after time away

  • dancers rebuilding confidence

  • dancers seeking a grounded beginning

Rooted is the entry point into the Ascension Program.

This tier focuses on building a strong foundation through confidence, control, body awareness, and basic movement principles.

Classes within Rooted are intentionally structured to feel safe, supportive, and approachable. Dancers are guided through movement at a steady pace, with layered options and clear instructions.

Rooted is not about getting choreography “right.” It is about reconnecting to the body, learning how movement feels, and developing trust in oneself again.

Heels are always optional. Presence is essential.

This tier is for:

  • dancers new to heels

  • dancers returning after time away

  • dancers rebuilding confidence

  • dancers seeking a grounded beginning

Rising: Expansion

  • dancers comfortable with foundational movement

  • dancers seeking challenge and refinement

  • dancers ready to deepen expression

Rising is where the foundation begins to expand.

This tier introduces increased choreography complexity, transitions, musicality, and stamina. Dancers are encouraged to explore expression while continuing to refine technique and control.

Rising bridges comfort into confidence. It is designed for dancers who are ready to challenge themselves without pressure, comparison, or performance anxiety.

Growth is supported — not forced.

This tier is for:

  • dancers comfortable with foundational movement

  • dancers seeking challenge and refinement

  • dancers ready to deepen expression

Ascenion: Embodiment

Degree
University Name

Ascension is the artistry tier. This level is for dancers who are ready to go beyond “learning choreography” and step into performance, presence, and storytelling. Ascension focuses on emotional expression, texture, musical interpretation, and developing a personal style that feels authentic. Technique continues to elevate here, but the difference is that dancers are learning how to communicate through movement, not just execute it.

In Ascension, dancers learn how to command attention without forcing it. They learn how to hold energy, shift dynamics, perform for the camera, and make choreography feel lived-in rather than memorized. This level develops artistry, confidence, and emotional depth.

Crowned:
Elevate

Degree

Crowned is the professional development tier. This level is for dancers who want to operate at a high standard and/or prepare for auditions, bookings, performances, teaching opportunities, and leadership. Crowned focuses on discipline, stamina, precision, and professionalism. Dancers learn how to take direction quickly, how to perform full-out consistently, and how to train as if they are already in the rooms they want access to.

This tier also introduces career readiness. Dancers receive support with branding awareness, resume development, audition preparation, and understanding how the industry works. Crowned is for dancers ready to move with intention and responsibility, both inside and outside the studio.

Throne:

Degree
University Name

Throne is the leadership tier. This is an advanced level designed for dancers called to teach, choreograph, direct, and lead creatively and spiritually. Throne focuses on instruction, communication, creative direction, rehearsal leadership, and how to hold a safe space for others. Dancers in this level learn how to build choreography, cue movement, develop concepts, guide teams, and lead with maturity.

Throne is not about ego or status. It is about stewardship.

This tier is for dancers who understand that leadership requires humility, consistency, and care. Throne develops queens who don’t just perform well, but who can guide others with integrity, clarity, and responsibility.
